ROB MEMORIAL NIGHT AT AMARI
NIKKI S & NYKE and the DJ’s performed for all Rob’s friends in his memory at Amari on 1st Jun –a fantastic opportunity for us all to dance the night away in true Rob Style. See gallery for proof of a great night.
THE PEOPLES MARCH
I was part of alliance that organised the Daily Mirror’s People’s March on 20th September. The march was an opportunity for ordinary people to show solidarity against the scunge of knife crime. About 5000-7000 people marched one group starting in Caledonia Park the other at Kennington Park with the two groups uniting at Piccadilly Circus and marching as one for a rally in Hyde Park. ‘SPARKLE’
The Jimmy Mizen Bus Appeal are holding charity auction at the Sidcup Snooker Club, Sidcup High Street on 31st January at 7:00pm. All proceeds will be used to purchase a second bus for the use of the local Sidcup community. One bus has already been purchased for the 21st Lewisham Scout Group. I have and am continuing to speak & meet with the Home Office via Vernon Coaker and his office.
I am also meeting with the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and am in regular contact with his office. In fact I have been invited to attend the launch of the ‘Mayors Strategic Framework for Preventing Youth Violence’ on Monday 3rd. Nov. This is as a result of being invited and participating in the Select Mayor’s Community Forum on Serious Crime on Wed. 24th. Sept.
Participated in SKY1’s first ever live debate on ‘War on Knives’, which was shown on 21st. Oct., as was my son Michael who also participated as an invited guest and was part of SKY War on Knives series.
